   BEND IN THE ROAD

Rescheduled as part of Naked July

If Brecht and Sondheim were makin' whoopee...
Bend in The Road

Another NPT World Premiere

The American Dream haunts those on the Oregon Trail to California. The dream of gold and glory. The dream of losing your past, culture, identity and replacing it with immediate desires and the freedom of an unknown tomorrow. On the Trail, position, power and wealth are exchanged from one person to the next as easily as a hat changes hands.

Had Brecht and Sondheim had written a play about American Western expansion on the Oregon Trail, the result no doubt would be Bend in the Road.
