The Emperor's New ClothesEmperor's New Clothes Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm What if in the not-so-distant future the United States stopped being united? What if the Mayor of Los Angeles began annexing surrounding states and created a scandal so taboo, professional criminals blushed at the thought? What if a Tailor with fantastical talent dared to answer the age-old question, “Why work so hard to get others naked?” This summer The National Pastime Theater, Chicago's premier theatrical provocatuers, bring this world of “what ifs” to life onstage with The Emperor's New Clothes by Keely Haddad-Null. Headlining the second annual festival Naked July: Art Sripped Down and based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Anderson, The Emperor's New Clothes is no longer a simple children's story. Directed by Carolyne Anderson, the world premier of The Emperor's New Clothes opens July 2nd at 8p and runs Fridays and Saturdays in July through July 30th. Performers:Don Claudin
